Bei der Rekonstruktion kam die Frage auf, ob das Fundament als Ganzes ausgeführt wurde, oder jedes tragende Bauelement für sich allein fundamentiert wurde.

Letzteres scheinen zweidimensionale Rekonstruktionszeichnungen nahe zu legen.

Andererseits ist es schwer vorstellbar, dass tragende Bauelemente wie zum Beispiel die über 10 Meter hohen Säulen der Ringhalle auf diese Weise Jahrhunderte Bestand bahen konnten. Denn die Sohle des Fundamentes befand sich nur 1,5 Meter unter Terrain und überragte freistehend das Terain um weitere 1,5 Meter. Ohne Mauerung und aus Bruchstein bestehend stellt sich diese Lösung als problematisch dar.

Wir haben daher einen Fundamentblock aus behauenem Bruchstein rekonstruiert, ohne über genaue Vorlagen verfügen zu können. Der 1,5 Meter hohe Stufensockel des Tempels überdeckt das Fundament vollständig und müßte teilweise abgetragen werden, um Vermessungen vornehmen zu können.

Nous avons reconstitué un bloc de fondement d'après la pierre de cassure taillée sans pouvoir disposer des présentations exactes. Le socle de marches haut de 1,5 mètres du temple recouvre complètement le fondement et devrait partiellement être nivelé pour pouvoir entreprendre des mesurages.
